  4. SubStation is an incredible action game in which the player 
  5. moves freely in an extremely fast real-time gouraud-shaded 
  6. 3-D world. The screen refresh rate for the 3-D world alone is 
  7. an amazing 25 fps (frames per second) in a resolution of 
  8. 320*160 pixels using 3 bitplanes! The 3-D system is a 
  9. state-of-the-art development solution written by Mikael 
  10. Emtinger and Oskar Burman, and will make SubStation one 
  11. of the technically most advanced games ever to appear on the 
  12. Atari STE/Falcon.

  14. 100% GAMEPLAY
  15. SubStation runs on any Atari STE 1Mb+ of Falcon with RGB 
  16. or VGA monitor. Your character is controlled either using the 
  17. keyboard or a Jaguar PowerPad. You can run, walk, strafe, 
  18. pick up items, choose between a great number of weapons, 
  19. open doors, access elevators between the different sublevels, 
  20. and even strafe, rotate, run and fire your gun at the same time, 
  21. giving you total control of your actions!

  24. To further increase the horrifying atmosphere in SubStation, 
  25. Tord Jansson (responsible for the amazing sound routines in 
  26. Obsession) developed a special sound effect system called 
  27. DD Audio (Distance & Direction) which enables you to hear 
  28. where monsters are lurking. The combined effect of foggy 
  29. colours and the pit-pat of tiny monster feet from the far left will 
  30. give you nightmares...

  32. 100% MULTI-PLAYER COMBAT
  33. By utilizing the link capabilities of SubStation, you can play 
  34. against other humans in special combat-levels using the Atari's 
  35. built-in MIDI ports. Up to four players can take part in a game, 
  36. either by forming two teams, or every man for himself... In 
  37. MIDI-Link Mode you gain credits for which you can buy extra 
  38. ammo, first-aid kits, food or new weaponry.
